Turning Point

"Some women wait for themselves around the next corner and call the empty spot peace but the opposite of living is only not living"- Audre Lorde -
We all go through moments within our days where we ask ourselves: “what do I want to be?” or “How will I get there?” or “Am I cut out to accomplish my dreams?”, etc., etc., etc.! Sometimes we go through our days moving from one task to the next and at the end of the day, even after checking off our boxes on our list, we still feel unaccomplished.
Now do not get me wrong, keeping a daily-to-do-list is essential to getting things done daily, but let's take it to another level. What if you took out the time to plan out your long term goals for at least 5 years and then according to your list you make sure that you have at LEAST one thing on your daily-to-do's that will help you reach your long term goals. This way you will end your days truly feeling accomplished, as you will know that you not only got your daily tasks done, but you have done something to enhance your future!
I recently ran across this wonderful book called "Where will you be 5 years from today?". It's filled with inspirational quotes, questions, and an interactive road-map! All in all, the question here is: “Do you know where  you want to be in 5 years?” if you don't, or heck, even if you do, you will gain nothing but confidence and successfulness when you can pinpoint your destination.
When creating your road map and outlining your life goals, it is important to work hard daily towards achieving them, yet, it is just as important to remember that it will be also fine if you get lost. Getting lost does not mean that you will never find your way, it just means that you have to turn around...back up, and make a different turn!
